Exploring the Possible Application of Agaric from the Perspective of Funeral

Abstract

For funeral, how to recognize funeral is a very important issue. If the funeral is regarded as just a simple treatment of remains, then there is nothing to deal with the funeral. However, if the funeral is not just about dealing with the remains, but rather solving the problems caused by death through the handling of body, then it is necessary to pay attention to the method of handling, and not just follow the traditional funeral practices and funeral supplies. At this time, how to innovate in response to the needs of the times has become a topic of the times for funeral services. For researcher, it is a topic that can be considered to include agarwood in the possible range of innovation in funeral products. Therefore, in choosing the title of the thesis, the researcher took “Exploring the Possible Application of Agaric from the Perspective of Funeral” as the research topic. In order to achieve this goal, this paper adopts the methods of literature analysis and in-depth interviews for research. Under the application of these two methods, the discussion program of this paper includes the introduction in the first chapter, a total of four sections; the literature exploration in the second chapter, a total of four sections; the research methods and operations in chapter 3, a total of five sections; analysis of content of in-depth interviews in chapter 4, totaling five sections; issues, discussion, and suggestions in chapter 5, totaling three sections; the conclusion in chapter 6, totaling three sections. That is to say, through the discussion of these six chapters, this paper can form some research results on the research topic of “Exploring the Possible Application of Agaric from the Perspective of Funeral”. In terms of research results, the first one is a new understanding of the purpose or perspective of funeral, knowing that the handling of remains is only a superficial fact, and the real key lies in the death problem to be solved behind it. The second point is that the function of funeral supplies is not only the materials used to deal with remains, nor is it just to fulfill filial piety, but also to solve all problems caused by death. The third one is the reason why agarwood can communicate with three realms is not due to the agarwood itself, but rather to the cooperation of related religious practices. Otherwise, agarwood, as an existence within the scope of experience, cannot transcend experience and produce effects. The fourth one is about the possible application of agarwood in funeral. For example, the purifying effect of cleansing body should not only stay in the agarwood essential oil itself, but also go deep into the supporting religious practices, which may have the effect of restoring the innocence of the soul of the dead.
